The Clinical Management of NMOSD in Belgium
Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is a rare but severe neuroinflammatory disease requiring rapid diagnosis and prompt treatment to prevent irreversible disability. In this expert-led webinar, Vincent van Pesch explores the latest advances in NMOSD diagnosis and management, with a particular focus on clinical practice in Belgium. The webinar is introduced and moderated by Melissa Cambron.
The session covers diagnostic red flags, imaging features, antibody testing, and evolving therapeutic strategies that are reshaping patient care.
Learning Objectives
After watching this webinar, clinicians will be able to:
- Recognise the key clinical and radiological features of NMOSD
- Differentiate NMOSD from multiple sclerosis and MOG-associated disease
- Understand the role of aquaporin-4 antibody testing in diagnosis
- Identify optimal strategies for managing acute NMOSD relapses
