ParadigMS and the Belgian Multiple Sclerosis Study Group (BSGMS) present the fifth ParadigMS Symposium taking place on Tuesday evening 16 June 2020, at the Van der Valk Brussels Airport Hotel.
As was the case last year, both workshops and a plenary session will send you home with valuable new knowledge that can be applied in your daily practice. Which is why we are inviting neurologists, neurologists in training, nurses, researchers and allied health care practitioners with an interest in MS to save the date of 16 June 2020.
This fifth edition of the ParadigMS symposium kicks off with two workshops, beginning at 5 pm, and ends with presentations and talks given by national and international speakers. RIZIV/INAMI accreditation will be requested on entry.
Workshop 1: Progressive forms of Multiple Sclerosis: pathogenesis and
treatment options by Carlo Pozzilli (Italy) & Bart Van Wijmeersch (UHasselt)
Workshop 2: NMO spectrum disorders: clinics, diagnosis and treatment options by Nikolaos Grigoriadis (Greece)
Plenary sessions: Biomarkers in MS by Nikolaos Grigoriadis (Greece) – Epidemiology of MS by Carlo Pozzilli (Italy)
New: Simultaneous translation from EN into French and Dutch for the plenary session (workshops in English)
Minimum two MS experts collaborate to produce an educational slide deck. These slide decks are presented (live) to ParadigMS members, peer reviewed and updated.
The slide decks are published on the ParadigMS website “on behalf of ParadigMS”.
Based on the slide decks, publications are produced. These publications are peer reviewed and published as consensus publications.
Regional (fe: Scandinavian countries, Benelux, …) or national events where state-of-the-art science is transferred to general neurologists and other care givers (nurses, etc) that are confronted with MS in their day to day practice.
Webinars can complement the educational events.
The educational slide decks, events and webinars can be important building blocks of accredited educational programs.
