The e-learning on ‘Risks, pregnancy, vaccination and MS’ includes engaging case-based examples given by experts in the field of MS.
The material used for this ELM was initially presented in December 2021 during the Pre-MENACTRIMS Symposium in a hybrid format and has received high appreciation from the audience as well as the online ParadigMS community. Building on this, the Board of ParadigMS Foundation, aiming to engage a broader audience of medical practitioners and giving them the opportunity to assess and engage with the content, took the decision to offer the ‘Risks, pregnancy, vaccination and MS’ as an online module through the official ParadigMS platform.
Initially, Prof. Bassem Yamout will navigate you through the topic of pregnancy and lactation in patients with MS by providing concrete examples and self-reflection activities. Additionally, Prof Maura Pugliatti will guide you in how to manage and mitigate risks associated with treating MS patients, by providing a set of key messages stemming both from her experience and literature reports, underlying risk mitigation in MS treatment. Finally, Prof Celia Oreja-Guevara will shed light on the response to vaccination of MS patients, including the influence of the chosen MS treatment on vaccine response with a focus on the production of antibodies in vaccinated MS patients and the influence of the MS treatment on antibodies production.
