Prognostication, high efficacy treatments and virtual care in multiple sclerosis (Accredited by EACCME)
Introduction
This e-learning includes three engaging lectures given by three eminent neurologists with a specialisation in multiple sclerosis. The e-learning also includes a survey and an exam. Completers of the exam receive an EACCME certificate for 1 European CME credit. Should you not receive it, or need any further information, please contact: learning@paradigms.foundation.
About the e-learning course content
MS prognostication provides the neurologist with a comprehensive overview of each patient’s current and potential future disease status. It can be used to identify ‘red flags’ in the patient’s profile indicating the need for heightened vigilance and/or a more aggressive treatment approach.
In this Master Class, MS neurologists present three related subjects. First, a prognostication tool is presented that can be used by neurologists in clinical practice. Next, cases are presented where high efficacy pharmacological treatment is used depending on demographic factors, clinical manifestations, MRI observations and biomarkers. We conclude the session with a view on the potential of virtual care and digital tools to complement the available patient data for a neurologist.
By the end of this e-learning, participants will have:
• Gained experience in using a prognostication tool that can be used by neurologists in clinical practice;
• Developed a better understanding about the potential of virtual care and digital tools to complement the available patient data for a neurologist;
• Reliably demonstrate how high efficacy pharmacological treatments can be used depending on demographic factors, clinical manifestations, MRI observations and biomarkers.
Certifications
Upon successful completion of the exam, you receive an EACCME certificate for 1 European CME credit.
Background
The material used for this elearning was initially presented in December 2022 during a ParadigMS live masterclass in a hybrid format and has received high appreciation from the audience as well as the online ParadigMS community. Building on this, the Board of ParadigMS Foundation, aiming to engage a broader audience of medical practitioners and giving them the opportunity to assess and engage with the content, took the decision to offer the lectures as an online module through the official ParadigMS platform.
