The Expert Meetings bring together the Members of ParadigMS. Research results are discussed and slide decks are peer reviewed. The Members also decide about the scientific program of the association, the action plan and the budget.

ParadigMS and the Belgian Multiple Sclerosis Study Group (BSGMS) present the fifth ParadigMS Symposium taking place on Tuesday evening 16 June 2020, at the Van der Valk Brussels Airport Hotel.
As was the case last year, both workshops and a plenary sessions will send you home with valuable new knowledge that can be applied in your daily practice. Which is why we are inviting neurologists, neurologists in training, nurses, researchers and allied health care practitioners with an interest in MS to save the date of 16 June 2020.
This fifth edition of the ParadigMS symposium kicks off with two workshops, beginning at 5 pm, and ends with presentations and talks given by national and international speakers. RIZIV/INAMI accreditation will be requested on entry.

The Expert Meeting will be a prepared and facilitated discussion with the objective to produce a Position Paper, to be published in a neurology journal. Topic of the discussion: “Pregnancy in MS”.
Topic of the 1 st Striving for Excellence in Patient Care – an Innovative Approach (SEPIA) meeting was :
“An update on MS immunology and treatment targets”, presented by Prof. Tjalf Ziemssen.
Prof. Bart Van Wijmeersch was the central moderator of the event.
Prof. Ziemssen presented from the main hub in Leuven, from where the presentation was live streamed to 7 other hubs, all having a local audience. The meeting was sponsored by Sanofi Genzyme with the scientific contribution of ParadigMS.

This innovative event was the first of its kind in MS, and aimed to integrate global information exchange with regional face-to-face collaboration, collecting the worldwide experience of experts who work on MS and treat patients with MS. The event was supported by Novartis, who had no influence on the content as the programme was developed independently by ParadigMS.
